Sheila’s Leadership Philosophy
Every opportunity to connect with another is an opportunity to learn something you didn’t know, to gain a deeper insight into what you think you know, and to reciprocate an educational moment about who you are, your thoughts, your values, and more importantly, your boundaries.
Continue your life journey, reflect on your learnings to increase your awareness, and mitigate the internal noise. During the most challenging moments, anchor your thoughts to your values of respect, dignity, and self-care with choices of response to what I’m presented with at the moment.
When experiencing an uncomfortable or overwhelming emotion, identify this as an emotional trigger to PAUSE in that exact moment and ask yourself, “What is this situation truly asking of my leadership? What do I need to support, understand, or possibly disregard?” It is during these moments you are given the opportunity to make a more conscious choice for your best authentic self.
How we choose to respond is a decision we can all make. Embrace the feeling, the thought, or what you’re sensing, and decide how long you want to live in that state. Even with rules, laws and guidelines, you have the freedom of choice: to follow, to lead, to let go, or to go rogue. Your freedom of choice is always there.

What they’ve said …
Sheila is a very energetic, passionate, and knowledgeable executive coach. She was extremely instrumental in my professional development during the time when I needed to both be supported and pushed outside of my comfort zone the most. Every coaching session left me feeling like I had someone in my corner and I attribute much of my successful transition into my executive role to her guidance, perspective, and coaching.
~ Jene Pulliam, Assistant Vice President, Accounting
Sheila gets it. In her own professional career she builds relationships - both personal and professional, that facilitate getting things done. She knows how to coach it as well. I've watched her and worked with her as she partnered with senior executives to develop talent management strategies and core programs for developing leaders while also directly coaching internal leaders and future executives. She was a great thought partner for me as I navigated my own career and looked for opportunities to develop key leaders on my team. Sheila understands leaders drive results, but that they also do it the right way. She shows up with constant energy and enthusiasm and will challenge you to think differently about yourself and your career.
